CREST HILL – In an effort to lift the spirits of seniors in the 49th District, State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel invites residents of all ages to get creative and donate homemade or store-bought valentines.
“Taking the time to send in a card is a small act of kindness that truly warms our seniors’ hearts,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “I love delivering these cards every year to let them know their community values and appreciates them. Let’s come together and uplift our seniors.”
Loughran Cappel is encouraging community members in the area to write Valentine’s Day cards, which can be dropped off or mailed to her district office. Once all the cards have been collected, they will be delivered to various senior facilities in the 49th District.
The collection of Valentine’s Day cards will run through Monday, Feb. 10. Those wishing to participate can drop off cards at Loughran Cappel’s office or mail them to 20660 Caton Farm Road, Unit D, Crest Hill, IL 60403.
