PLAINFIELD – Whether it’s questions about state resources or feedback on legislative priorities, State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel loves sitting down with local residents to reflect on how she can best serve the 49th District. During a Coffee and Conversation event on Feb. 28, Loughran Cappel invites the community to join her at the Plainfield Public Library to chat.

“Each month I get the opportunity to hear from constituents about what’s important to them, issues they may be facing and legislative ideas I can take with me to Springfield,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “The best way to connect with residents is through making myself accessible and each month I look forward to joining residents for a cup of coffee and conversations.”

The event will be held Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Plainfield Public Library located at 5020 Illinois St. in Plainfield.

Each monthly Coffee and Conversation serves as an open forum for community members to engage in informal conversations with the senator and each other about issues facing the region and the state.

PLAINFIELD – State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel’s office will be traveling to the Plainfield Public Library on Thursday, Feb. 16 to increase accessibility to residents throughout the 49th District.

“I want to make sure residents are aware of the resources available, what’s going on in Springfield and how my office can assist with any issues,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “Hearing from residents and making their voices heard is my job and I take pride in that.”

The event will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Plainfield Public Library located at 5020 Illinois St. in Plainfield.

This free event is another effort from Loughran Cappel’s office to increase government accountability, accessibility and assist with state resources by hosting office hours at different times, locations and days of the week in hopes of reaching working families across Will and Kendall Counties.
