JOLIET – State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel’s Office will be traveling to the Joliet Public Library on Thursday, May 16 to increase accessibility to residents across the 49th District.
“I urge folks in need of services to take advantage of our traveling office hours,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “Being accessible to the community is crucial and I hope we can reach more community members with this event.”
The free event will be held on Thursday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Joliet Public Library, located at 3395 Black Rd. Coffee will be provided for attendees.
Staff from Loughran Cappel’s office will be onsite to offer assistance with state issues, provide resources and hear input from residents. Traveling office hours are hosted on different days, times and locations to improve accessibility.

“Traveling office hours are always a wonderful way to connect with residents in their own communities and to engage with the concerns of the people I serve,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “It is my top priority to increase our office’s accessibility to residents by bringing our services directly to you.”
The event will be held on Monday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Shorewood-Troy Public Library, located at 650 Deerwood Dr. in Shorewood.
The free event is an opportunity for residents to get help from Loughran Cappel’s office, such as assistance with state resources. Coffee will be provided for attendees.

“Community office hours ensure residents have an avenue to have their voices heard,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “My staff will be available to deliver helpful insight, discuss legislation and provide information about resources and programs available for residents. I encourage all of our community members to take advantage of this opportunity.”
The event will be held on Tuesday, March 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at the White Oak Library District, located at 201 Normantown Rd. in Romeoville. Loughran Cappel’s office will provide coffee for attendees.
