CREST HILL – In an effort to lift the spirits of seniors in the 49th District, State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel invites residents of all ages to get creative and donate homemade or store-bought valentines.
“Writing a card or small note to our seniors is an easy way to show our appreciation for them,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “Each year we have dropped off hundreds of cards that truly make each and every one of them smile. Let’s come together to make sure our seniors know they are important to our communities.”
Loughran Cappel is encouraging community members in the area to write Valentine’s Day cards, which can be dropped off or mailed to her district office. Once all the cards have been collected, they will be delivered to various senior facilities in the 49th District.
BOLINGBROOK – Local residents are invited to join State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel for a cup of coffee and conversations on Jan. 9, where she will discuss with attendees how she can best serve her district.
“A good cup of coffee and a conversation can go a long way,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “I hope residents will take this opportunity to chat about any issues or concerns that they may have.”
The free event will be held Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 10 a.m. to noon at Krave Restaurant, located at 278 S. Weber Rd. in Bolingbrook.
CREST HILL – State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel has teamed up with community partners to host a blood drive on Jan. 13.
“Blood donations continue to be essential to the health of people in our community,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “There is a critical need for blood donations from healthy individuals, and this event is a great opportunity to help strengthen our blood supply.”
Loughran Cappel joins Just Breathe Yoga Studio, Barton Staffing, Elemental Care Health & Wellness and Priority You Physical Therapy for a blood drive on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at her district office, located at 20660 Caton Farm Road in Crest Hill.
JOLIET – State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel will hold office hours at the Joliet Public Library Black Road Branch on Thursday, Dec. 21 to provide residents with the chance to receive help and ask pertinent questions.
“My office is here to help with local issues, state resources and more,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “As we head into the new year, it’s important for my office to be accessible across the 49th District.”
The event will be held on Thursday, Dec. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Joliet Public Library Black Road Branch, located at 3395 Black Rd. in Joliet.
This is a free event, and is an effort from Loughran Cappel’s office to assist residents with resources they may need from the state, as well as to provide a range of dates, times and locations that will increase accessibility.
